Walk-ins and reservations welcome! NO one under age 21 is ALLOWED on the premises. This includes babies and toddlers. Dogs allowed ONLY on the patio. The 290 Wine Castle is made up of the Dungeon (by reservation only), the main tasting room, the covered patio deck, the second floor balcony lounge and the Rooftop (members only)! In the first floor tasting room & the second floor balcony lounge, there are two private circular turret tasting rooms. The Dungeon houses two Dungeon Experience Rooms & two private wine cellars (accessible to members only). The Rooftop Experience (Members Only) seats you in one of three private turret rooms that steps onto the roof with 360 views of the hill country. **New** our second floor Cigar Lounge recently opened to wine club members.
This is available for 1 to 5 people. 5 wine samples from our red, white, sweet or sparkling wine tastings.
For groups of 6 to 12 we offer private tastings in our castle turrets. You will choose 5 wine samples from the very best of our castle wines. Pizzas and charcuterie boards are available for purchase. *Pizzas available Friday to Sunday.

The dungeon tasting will take you downstairs into a private dimly lit cellar where you will use your senses of taste and smell while trying five wines paired with five artisan chocolates and two Texas cheeses. This private tasting experience is approximately one hour long and is for groups of 2 to 20. *Please note: this tasting includes red and white wines with chocolates/cheeses that contain dairy. This is an adults only experience.

The 290 Wine Castle provides an enchanting setting for weddings, receptions, and engagements. With endless Texas Hill Country views and an exquisite castle backdrop, you are sure to have a magical day! Our venue sits on eleven acres just 5 miles outside of Johnson City, Texas (approximately a 1 hour drive from Austin/San Antonio and a 3.5 hour drive from Houston/Dallas/Ft Worth). The venue itself is 10,000 sq. ft and includes: a first floor tasting hall with a 3,000 sq. ft. covered patio and two turret rooms, a second floor balcony lounge with two turret rooms and a bridal prep suite, an outdoor rooftop with 3 enclosed turret rooms, and a cellar dungeon with three tasting rooms. Overnight accommodations are available at our boutique hotel, The Bentley Hotel on 290. We have a preferred vendor list available to you.
